Class Details
Our classes provide training for the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme and basic to advanced obedience
•Puppies – this 4-week course prepares you for the KC puppy foundation assessment. It is a great way to introduce your pup to training and get support in a small class.
•Beginners – these classes are ideal for people new to dog training or with a new dog who is just starting their training. The class provides an excellent environment for socialising your dog as well as training in important skills such as lead walking, recall and general manners. Our trainers are also always happy to help with specific issues and provide individual training advice. This class is also ideal for rescue dogs. All members in this class can train for and take their bronze good citizen test.
•Intermediate – these classes are most suitable for dogs who have learnt the basics of obedience and are ready to train for the silver and gold good citizen awards and exercises such as retrieve, send your dog to bed.
•Advanced – our top class provides an opportunity to learn more advanced obedience exercises and build both you and your dog’s skills. It is suitable for people who would like to compete in open shows and includes training in scent, send away, advanced heel work and distance control.
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Training Scheme
•The Kennel Club Good Citizen Training Scheme is open to all dogs and handlers and is the largest dog training programme in the UK.

•The scheme promotes responsible dog ownership and supports owners to train their dogs for everyday life situations.
•The club offers four award levels: Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold.
•Puppy foundation assessment is completed at the end of the four-week puppy course
•Assessments for bronze, silver and gold take place twice per year at your normally training section
